  2. I don't recall getting installation instructions (I may have
  3. lost them) and I don't have TurboText, so you are on your own

  12. since changes were made, and the version Loren distributed
  13. doesn't actually work - Loren's fault, as he will be the
  14. first to admit... 8^)

  19. Installation:
  20. -------------
  21. 1. Copy QuickSort to somewhere in your path.
  22. 2. Add to your user-startup:
  23.    run >nil: <nil: quicksort
  24. 3. Copy spellfix.ttx to somewhere Turbotext can
  25.    find it.
  26. 4. Reboot (or run quicksort by hand this time).

  28. Usage:
  29. ------
  30. 1. Edit a file that needs to be spell-fixed, with 
  31.    Turbotext. Select "Exec ARexx..." from the 
  32.    Turbotext. Select spellfix.ttx.
  33. 2. The Turbotext window will be shrunk some and
  34.    another window will open at the top with some
  35.    buttons and menus. It may take a while, because
  36.    the spellfix exec will start ISpell if it is
  37.    not yet running, and scan your entire file for
  38.    problems. It will eventually put you at the first
  39.    error.
  40. 3. The buttons are fairly obvious. The Select button
  41.    is only useful when it is highlighted - it means
  42.    there is a set of alternatives you can choose from.
  43.    The text below the buttons gives you usually 
  44.    sufficient help to figure out what to do. A quick
  45.    summary of the buttons follows below.
  46. 4. All buttons have menu equivalents.
  47. 5. You may want to add spellfix as a function key or
  48.    menu item to the TTX_Startup.dfn file - see the
  49.    Turbotext docs.
  50. 6. The spellfix.ttx exec takes one argument: "all".
  51.    when given, also "closest root" errors will be
  52.    marked. By default this is disabled, as I find
  53.    it mostly useless.

  56. Button summary:
  57. ---------------
  58. Add:     Add this word to the dictionary.
  59. Next:    Skip this word.
  60. Select:  When highlighted, brings up a list of 
  61.          alternative spellings.
  62.  
  63. S/R:     Brings up a search/replace requester with
  64.          the most recently found mistake as "Search"
  65.          and the most recently selected alternative
  66.          spelling as "Replace" strings.
  67.  
  68. Save Additions: Makes the words "added" permanently part of
  69.                 the dictionary - otherwise, the words Added
  70.                 are only kept for this session of ISpell.
  71. Exit Ispell:    Exits ISpell the program and the spellfix
  72.                 exec. Additions not saved will be lost.
  73. Leave:          Same as clicking the close button: go back
  74.                 to regular edit mode, but leave ISpell running.
  75.                 This makes the next spellfix session go much
  76.                 faster.
